Gripper for coupling housings
Challenge
Before unloading a die casting mold, a gripped steel inlay needed to be placed accurately into the mold before each shot. The temperature of the components to be removed was approx. 400°C.
Solution
The inlays were picked up using a standard electronic magnet in conjunction with an XY axis compensation module. The housing was removed using a high-temperature version of the standard three-jaw gripper.
